- Business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce - This type of e-commerce refers to transactions between businesses, such as wholesalers selling to retailers (eMarketer, 2020). Example: Alibaba.com
- Consumer-to-consumer (C2C) e-commerce - This type of e-commerce refers to transactions between individuals, such as online marketplaces like eBay or Craigslist (eMarketer, 2020).
- Consumer-to-business (C2B) e-commerce - This type of e-commerce refers to transactions where individuals offer goods or services to businesses, such as freelance work on Upwork (eMarketer, 2020)
- Mobile commerce (m-commerce) - This type of e-commerce refers to transactions conducted on mobile devices, such as smartphones or tablets (eMarketer, 2020)
